  1. Fundraising-
  2. Dance: Possible DJ found by Nicole Franklin. Mrs. Voet has supplies for the superlative sashes.
  3. Brain Brawl: The last meet takes place on January 27. They are up against
  4. Newspaper: The first issue has arrived. And the committee heads request that more juniors begin submitting articles.
  5. Communications: The committee has teamed up with Spirit to change the NHS board to Valentine’s Day.
  6. Scrapbook: Meeting Mondays from 9:30-12:00 in study hall.
  7. Game Day: Still meeting Fridays from 9-11.
  8. Appreciation/Spirit: The committee has created the “My Goal is….” project. Every member of NHS will write their goal upon a star which will be displayed in building 2.
  9. Community Service/ Environmental: People who need hours the committee heads will be posting up service opportunities soon.
  1. BCNHS Officer reports: Work on the NO H8 project.
  2. Committee meetings: No more BC rooms (you must meet in around building 2).
  3. Pay dues ($20 this year) ($15 for last year).
  4. Thank you to classes for doing Angel Tree.
  5. No more tutoring committee.
  1. Candy sales have begun: all NHS members are OBLIGATED to sell at least one box; otherwise, a $40 obligation. The money is due y the end of the month (to Mrs. Voet, Mon, Wed 9-12). NHS hour for selling.
  2. Email lists will begin, to remind/update members on what’s happening in NHS.
  3. Spirit committee will start the “My Goal is…” project this week.
  4. The Juvenile Diabetes shoes are in and the walk is in February. This is an NHS county project.
  5. The first issue of the newspaper is out.
  6. More juniors need to get involved in the committees because they will be taking them over next year.
  7. Mrs. Sapp will take volunteers to assist at the Recruitment Open House ( Jan 27 & 28 6-9).
  8. Community service committee will hold a drive soon for items for Veterans of the armed forces.
  9. Need a volunteer to write an article for the NHS county newsletter, The Bugle. Service hours up for grabs.
  10. Possibly an “adopt-a-school” project? We could adopt a class at Davie elementary. We’d mentor them and give them school supplies.
